500 litres of local liquor seized in Gazipur, 7 arrested

Police seized around 500 litres of locally made liquor and arrested seven people during a raid in Kapasia, Gazipur, on Saturday evening.
Kapasia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Nasir Ahmed said police conducted the raid in Rabidaspara area of Ghighat after receiving confidential information.
During the several-hour operation, four men and three women were taken to the police station for questioning.
A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act with Kapasia Police Station in connection with the seizure, the OC said.
He added that legal proceedings are underway and further action will be taken after verifying the involvement of those allegedly connected to the incident.
