One injured after car, CNG driver clash over gas queue in Dhaka

A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was injured after he and a private car driver got into a scuffle following an argument over a gas queue in Rampura, Dhaka, on Tuesday morning.

The CNG driver sustained a head injury and was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The private car driver also suffered minor injuries to his chest and head.

The incident took place at around 9:15am in front of Better Life Hospital on DIT Road under Rampura Police Station of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

According to Rampura police, the drivers of the private car and CNG-run auto-rickshaw got into an argument over the gas queue while travelling towards Malibagh. At one point, the argument escalated into a physical altercation.

Following the incident, police seized both vehicles and kept them at Rampura Police Station. The two drivers were also informed that legal action would be taken in connection with the incident.

The officer-in-charge of Rampura Police Station said the process of taking legal action was underway.
