Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves saw a slight increase, with total gross reserves reaching $37.066 billion on Wednesday, according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank.
Under the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) BPM6 calculation standard, gross reserves stood at $32.260 billion.
According to Bangladesh Bank statistics published Wednesday (August 12), gross reserves climbed to $37.066 billion.
On Monday (August 10), gross reserves were recorded at $36.96 billion, while BPM6 reserves stood at $32.15 billion. On Sunday (August 9), total reserves stood at $36.86 billion.
The IMF's BPM6 accounting method is widely regarded as one of the most reliable global standards for measuring a country's usable foreign exchange reserves.
The slight gain comes amid various central bank measures aimed at maintaining stability in the country's foreign exchange and currency markets. On Tuesday (August 11), reserves under the BPM6 standard also crossed the $32 billion threshold.
