A Dhaka court has deferred the hearing on framing charges against a woman accused of stabbing her father to death in Savar, fixing October 25 for the next hearing.
Judge Mohammad Sarwar Alam of the Dhaka Prevention of Nuisance Offences Tribunal passed the order on Tuesday (September 16) as the accused was not produced from jail.
According to the case documents, the man was stabbed to death in Savar on May 8, 2025. His son from his first marriage filed a murder case with Savar Model Police Station the same day, accusing his stepsister.
After her arrest, the accused reportedly gave a confessional statement before a court. Sub-Inspector Imran Hossain of Savar Model Police Station submitted a charge sheet against her on November 29, 2025.
The case was later transferred to the tribunal for trial.
