Create Employment Opportunities for the Hijra Community

The Hijra community is an important part of our society. Like other citizens, its members deserve dignity, equal opportunities and the chance to live respectable and self-reliant lives.
Due to social and economic exclusion, some may become involved in begging or collecting money at social events, business establishments and on the streets, sometimes creating discomfort for both the community and the public.
Instead of criticising or discriminating against them, the authorities and society should provide education, vocational training, employment and opportunities for self-employment. Suitable and dignified work can help them become economically independent, reduce their dependence on collecting money in public places and contribute positively to society.
I therefore urge the authorities concerned to create appropriate employment opportunities for the Hijra community and ensure their social and economic inclusion. Ensuring dignity, opportunity and self-reliance for every citizen is essential for building a humane and inclusive society.
