Bangladesh has reported deaths of five more people exhibiting measles symptoms in a countrywide 24-hour count, while 74 new cases were reported.
According to a bulletin released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday, 74 people tested positive for the virus in the 24-hour window leading up to 8am on Wednesday.
The health authorities have been publishing daily tracking updates on the outbreak since Mar 15.
So far, 99 people have died of confirmed cases of measles, while another 791 people have died after developing symptoms consistent with the infection.
The Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of fatalities among patients with measles symptoms, at 345.�"bdnews24
