The case was filed over allegations of non-payment and unfulfilled promotional promises for a saree taken from an online fashion page.
Hearing on the case began on Thursday at 11:25 AM in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana. The court granted her bail following the hearing.
Earlier on July 12, the same court issued a summons against Tanjin Tisha after reviewing the police investigation report. The court directed her to appear in person on August 13.
According to the case statement, Tanjin Tisha received a saree worth around Tk 28,800 from an online fashion page named 'Apponia'. The complaint alleged that she promised to promote the item and pay for it, but later cut off all communication.
However, Tanjin Tisha claimed in a social media statement that the saree was a gift. She argued that the question of payment did not arise.
The plaintiff stated that the case was filed in November 2025 after sending a legal notice that went unanswered. The Detective Branch (DB) of police investigated the matter under court orders and submitted a report.
The court issued the summons after the DB report found primary evidence supporting the allegations.
Tanjin Tisha appeared in court on Thursday as directed by the summons and applied for bail. The court granted her bail after the hearing.
Further legal proceedings will continue as scheduled by the court.
