Police recovered the bodies of a housewife, a garment worker and a scrap trader separately from three different places in Sreepur, Gazipur on Friday (August 14).
The victims have been identified as Nilufa Akter, 24, garment worker Imran Hossain Antor, 24, and scrap trader Monir Hossain, 36. The bodies were handed over to the autopsies at Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.
Nilufa went missing from her home on Thursday night and locals found her body floating in the pond the very morning. Police have arrested her husband for questioning.
Imran's body was found hanging in his rented place in Jaina Bazar. Police said that they were looking into the case that whether online gambling was associated with his death. His relatives said that he had been in great mental stress due to the deaths of his mother and child.
At the same time, Monir died when a mud wall collapsed upon him when he was demolishing an old building in Gosinga union. Monir was admitted to the hospital in Sreepur Upazila. However, on duty doctors declared his death.
Sreepur Police OC Mohammad Shahinur Alam confirmed the deaths and said necessary legal procedures will be taken regarding the deaths.
