Krishak League central leader arrested by DB from Dhaka

Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested Nure Alam Siddiquee Haque, a central organising secretary of the Krishak League.

He was arrested from a petrol station in the capital’s Khilgaon area on Sunday afternoon (August 16).

Molla Mohammad Shaheen, deputy commissioner of the DB’s Wari division, confirmed the arrest on Sunday night.

He said Haque was arrested from Khilgaon based on specific allegations. Following his arrest, he was taken to the DB office.

“Legal proceedings against him are underway,” the DB official added.
