Cox’s Bazar airport to begin int'l operations by Oct: Aviation Minister

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat has said Cox’s Bazar International Airport is expected to begin international operations by October.

The minister made the announcement while speaking to journalists after a meeting with officials of his ministry at the Secretariat on Sunday.

Millat said efforts are underway to ensure better services for passengers and make all divisions under the ministry financially viable. 

''Everyone must work together so that no one can say the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism is a losing concern.''

The minister added, steps have already been taken to prevent passenger harassment and stop baggage theft at airports. However, he acknowledged that passenger harassment on flights has not yet been completely eliminated.

''We are working to build Biman according to the expectations of the people.
