Hajj council concerned over reported transfer of key official ahead of Hajj 2027

The Bangladesh Hajj Pilgrims and Haji Welfare Council has raised concern about publishing fake news, transfer of a dedicated and experienced officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs could left serious complications in managing of Hajj 2027.
In a joint statement, the organisation’s President Dr Abdullah Al Naser and General Secretary Abdul Baten said, ''the reported transfer of Joint Secretary Dr Md Manjurul Haque to another ministry had raised concerns among stakeholders involved in Hajj management."
According to the statement, the Saudi authorities have already announced a roadmap for Hajj 2027, outlining a number of tasks and deadlines that need to be completed within a specified timeframe.
The leaders said, ''transferring Dr Manjurul Haque at this crucial stage could disrupt the continuity of preparations and adversely affect the overall Hajj management process. They warned that any interruption in the implementation of activities in line with the Saudi Hajj roadmap could create complications for Bangladeshi pilgrims."
They described Dr Manjurul Haque as an honest, competent, experienced and dedicated official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs who has been closely involved in Hajj-related activities.
The organisation expressed apprehension that his transfer could hamper the timely completion of important tasks required under the Saudi government’s Hajj roadmap.
The Bangladesh Hajj Pilgrims and Haji Welfare Council urged the authorities concerned to take the matter into consideration and ensure that the ongoing preparations for Hajj 2027 are not disrupted.
