Cantonment OC withdrawn after controversial audio

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has withdrawn Cantonment Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Rakibul Islam after a controversial audio clip went viral on social media.
He was withdrawn on Thursday (September 17) following the spread of a leaked audio recording online.
The audio clip circulated widely across social media platforms and news outlets over the past two days, sparking severe criticism from various quarters.
In the recording, a voice allegedly belonging to the OC makes several negative remarks about the current government, the police force, and senior police officials. The speaker also makes various comments regarding ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
DMP announced the withdrawal decision following widespread public outrage. OC Rakibul Islam has not yet issued any statement regarding the viral audio recording.
