Titas announces 24hr gas shutdown in several areas

Gas supply will remain temporarily cut off for 24 hours from 8:00 AM on Friday (September 18) to 8:00 AM on Saturday (September 19) in various key locations, according to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited.

The authority announced that the disruption is necessary to execute tie-in work for relocating existing gas pipelines along the Ashulia Road under the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway project.

Supply will be completely suspended on both sides of the road from Ashulia Bazar to Baipail.

The outage will also affect all customer categories across Dhaka EPZ, Malancha Power Plant, Beximco DRS (Beximco Industrial Complex), Kashimpur, Sardaganj, Haji Market, Sreepur, Chandra, Chandra Intersection, Nabinagar, Savar Town, Savar Cantonment, Ulail, Bank Town, Savar Radio Colony, Kolma, Dosaid, Kumkumari, Akran, Charabag, Bara Ashulia, Tongabari, Kathgara, Jirabo, Gazirchat, Noyapara, Dewan Idris Road, Nayerhat, Bolibhadrapur, Palli Bidyut, Dendarbor, Bhadail, Latifpur, and Manikganj with surrounding areas.

Adjacent locations may experience low gas pressure during this period. Titas Gas authorities expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
