Three killed in road mishaps in two districts

Three people were killed and one was injured in separate road accidents in Bogura and Naogaon districts in two days.

BOGURA: Two youths were killed in a motorcycle accident in the Nischintapur Charmatha area of the second bypass road in Shahjahanpur early Tuesday.

The deceased were Ashikur Rahman, 22, son of Shahidul Islam of Holidaboga Village in Jorgachha Union of Sonatala Upazila and a student, and Mujahidul Islam Samiul, 30, son of Sirajul Islam of Swaradhankuti area of Gabtoli Upazila of the district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahjahanpur Police Station (PS) Ashiq Iqbal said that locals saw the bodies of two people lying in the middle of the highway in the Nischintapur Charmatha area and informed the police. Later, the police recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital

NAOGAON: A man was killed and another injured when a Bhutbhuti overturned in the Nakuchha intersection area of the Najipur-Sapahar regional road in Patnitala Upazila on Monday night.

The deceased Shahidul Islam, 60, was the son of late Azim Uddin of Nodhuni Village in the upazila. The injured Asit, 40, is the son of Ankim of Duchai Village in the same upazila and the Bhutbhuti driver.
Patnitala PS OC Md Niamul Haque confirmed the accident.
