Invest Bangladesh Chairman Ashik Chowdhury gets state minister rank

The government has granted Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, chairman of the Invest Bangladesh Authority under the Prime Minister’s Office, the status of a state minister.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification to this effect on Tuesday (August 25).

According to the notification, Ashik Chowdhury will enjoy the rank, salary, allowances and other associated benefits of a state minister for as long as he remains chairman of the Invest Bangladesh Authority.

The order has taken effect immediately.
