Two more people died of dengue in the past 24 hours, raising this year's death toll to 90, while 996 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) released the latest figures in its regular dengue bulletin on Saturday.
Both of the latest victims were men. One was aged between 51 and 55, while the other was between 61 and 65.
The number of patients currently receiving treatment for dengue stands at 2,101.
Of the 90 deaths recorded this year, 51 were women and 38 were men, while one case was later classified as false, according to the DGHS.
The highest number of deaths was reported in Dhaka South City Corporation areas, followed by Khulna and Dhaka North City Corporation areas.
A total of 33,586 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals so far this year, while 31,395 have been discharged after recovery, the DGHS said.
