GAIBANDHA, Aug 31: An Indonesian national and homemaker, identified as Maftuha, 45, died at her residence in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha on Sunday night, reportedly after suffering a heart attack.

Police recovered her body from a bedroom on the third floor of her family-owned building, known as Singapore Market, at Naldanga Bazar in the upazila around noon on Monday.

Maftuha died at around 11:00pm on Sunday at her residence, family members said. She was the wife of Mizanur Rahman, a migrant worker in Malaysia, from Dashalia village under Naldanga Union. The couple had two sons, aged seven and 10.

According to family sources, Mizanur met Maftuha in Singapore around 15 to 16 years ago while he was working there. They developed a relationship and later got married through a registered kabin (marriage contract).
