
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has reported that Six more children have died from measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours leading up to 8:00am on Monday, raising the overall death toll from the ongoing outbreak to 973.
It said on Monday in their daily measles report that no one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. Among the six new suspected fatalities, the highest concentration was recorded in Dhaka, with five deaths reported while another one from Barishal division.
With the latest figures, the total number of suspected measles deaths has reached 874, while the number of confirmed deaths remained unchanged at 99, as no new confirmed measles deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the DGHS.
