CHATTOGRAM, Aug 31: Twenty-five students who will study at the world-renowned Al-Azhar University in Egypt in the 2026οΏ½"27 academic session were accorded a reception at the Mizanus Salam Institute Hall on Sunday. The event was organised by the Society of Al-Azhar Graduates Bangladesh Branch, with support from PHP Family.
The programme was presided over by Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of PHP Family, the Society of Al-Azhar Graduates Bangladesh, Sufi Mizan Foundation and Mizanus Salam Institute, and an Ekushey Padak recipient.
Former Principal of Jamia Ahmadiyya Sunnia Kamil Madrasa Allama Mufti Syed Mohammad Asior Rahman, former Muhaddith of Subhania Alia Kamil Madrasa Allama Kazi Mohammad Moinuddin Ashrafi, former Vice-Chancellor Professor Muhitul Alam, Khatib of Jamiatul Falah Mosque Abu Taleb Mohammad Alauddin, Sirajul Mustafa, PHP Family Director Mohammad Ali Hossain Sohag, Mohammad Amir Hossain Sohel, Zahirul Islam Rinku, Mohammad Akhtar Parvez and Mizan Iqbal attended the event as special guests.
PHP Group Chairman Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of the Society of Al-Azhar Graduates Bangladesh Branch, said Al-Azhar University is a thousand-year-old institution where the pure message of Islam and the values of humanity are taught. Our students will gain higher education on Islamic teachings studying in AL-Azhar University.
