Jamaat amir meets TV channel CEOs, senior journalists

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Leader of the Opposition Dr Shafiqur Rahman held a meeting with chief executive officers of television channels and senior journalists in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The meeting began around noon at the Leader of the Opposition’s residence on Minto Road, with senior representatives of leading television channels attending.

Jamaat leaders said before the meeting that they wanted to seek guidance and views from senior journalists and learn about the media’s expectations from the opposition in building a “new Bangladesh”.

Several central leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami also attended the meeting.
