PM exchanges greetings with Hindu community on Janmashtami

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday exchanged greetings with prominent members of the Hindu community on the occasion of Janmashtami and distributed honorariums among priests and temple caretakers.

The programme was held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital at 10AM, where the prime minister joined Hindu community leaders and representatives to mark the festival.

The Premier walked from his office at Bangladesh Secretariat to the auditorium to attend the Janmashtami programme as the chief guest 

Janmashtami, one of the major religious festivals of the Hindu community, will be celebrated nationwide on Friday (September 4).
