The two phases Biswa Ijtema, the annual Islamic congregation of Tabligh Jamaat, will be held in January next year, with the two rival groups holding their gatherings separately.
The first phase will take place from January 8 to 10, followed by the second phase from January 15 to 17, on the Turag River bank.
Followers of Maulana Zubayer Ahmad will attend the first phase, while followers of Maulana Wasiful Islam, representing the Saad faction, will join the second phase.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmad announced the schedule to journalists on Thursday (September 3) after a meeting with leaders of the Saad faction at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
