Actress Elina Shammi suffered a serious head injury in a road accident, requiring 15 stitches on her forehead.
The incident took place on Wednesday (September 2) evening when Elina Shammi went out to purchase items needed for a shooting assignment. According to the actress, she was traveling in a Tesla and repeatedly requested her driver to slow down, but he ignored her warnings and continued to drive at high speed.
In a Facebook post, the actress explained that the car lost balance after a stone or brick got caught under its narrow wheels. The impact caused the driver to lose control and fall onto the road, while a rickshaw crashed onto her right afterward. A screw from the rickshaw wheel cut her forehead and injured the front portion of her head.
Following the accident, she was transported to the hospital by another rickshaw along with her handbag, where doctors administered 15 stitches to treat both injuries. Expressing gratitude to Allah for saving her life, Elina wrote, "Allah has given me another chance. Alhamdulillah." She also raised concerns regarding the safety of certain vehicles, including ‘Tesla’ on the road while reflecting on how a much worse accident could have occurred.
Asking her followers for their prayers, she concluded her post writing, "Pray for me. May Allah keep me safe from the dangers."
Although she did not elaborate on her current physical condition or clarify whether her injuries prevented her from participating in scheduled shooting activities, she had previously announced her involvement in director Sajjad Suman's upcoming series 'Khushbu'.
