Bangladesh wushu team went to China for 50-day training 

A 30-member Bangladesh wushu delegation went to China on Wednesday to undergo a 50-day training programme, as part of the country's preparations for future international competitions, particularly the South Asian Games.

The team travelled to China at the invitation of the Chinese authorities, with special patronage from Youth and Sports State Minister Aminul Haque and under the overall management of the Bangladesh Wushu Federation.

The training programme, scheduled from 10 September to 29 October, will be held in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. The camp will focus on diversified training for taolu wushu athletes and coaches, providing the Bangladesh contingent with exposure to different levels of techniques, training methods and competitive practices.

Bangladesh Wushu Federation treasurer Habibur Rahman Siddiqui Rubel led the delegation. Federation general secretary Dildar Hasan Dilu, joint general secretary AKM Shahidul Alam Monir and other officials were present at the airport to see off the team.

The training stint is being viewed as an important building block in Bangladesh's long-term wushu development programme. The federation hopes the athletes and coaches will return with enhanced technical proficiency and international exposure, strengthening Bangladesh's medal prospects on the regional and global stage.

Federation officials expressed their gratitude to State Minister Aminul Haque for his support in facilitating the training opportunity. They also thanked the Chinese authorities for inviting the Bangladesh delegation and extending cooperation to the development of the sport.
