Dhaka Bank launches QR-based ‘Dhaka Pay’ in northern region

Dhaka Bank PLC has launched ‘Dhaka Pay’, a QR-based cashless payment service, in northern Bangladesh to make cashless transactions easier, faster and more secure.

The service was formally launched at a programme held at Eque Heritage Resort in Nilphamari, where QR codes for ‘Dhaka Pay’ were distributed among business leaders from different districts of the region recently, says a press release.

Through ‘Dhaka Pay’, customers can conveniently pay for products and services by scanning QR codes. Dhaka Bank customers will also be able to make digital transactions with customers of other banks, further facilitating seamless cashless payments.

Md Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC, attended the programme as the chief guest. Prominent business leaders from the northern region, along with senior officials from Dhaka Bank’s head office and its Rangpur, Dinajpur and Bogura branches, also attended.
