Local govt elections must be end by June 6: EC Sanaullah

All local government elections must be completed before June 6 next year, Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah said on Thursday (September 17).

"The local government elections have to be finished before June 6, 2027 . For this, the date for Union Parishad elections will be announced as soon as possible," he said.

He was talking to reporters after a preparatory meeting with different ministries, departments and authorities concerned regarding the upcoming local government elections and the Thakurgaon-1 by-election.
