Control loss leads to fatal bike crash on Hanif Flyover

A young man died and another was injured after a motorcycle lost control and hit a road divider on Mayor Hanif Flyover late Thursday (September 17) night.

The deceased was identified as Kabir Hossain, 32, son of Nur Islam of Gopibagh under Wari Police Station. The injured individual, Suman Mia, 24, son of Hamidul Islam from Saghata under Bogura district, is currently receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The accident occurred around 12:30 AM on the Jatrabari-Gulistan stretch of the flyover. Rescuers rushed the critically injured victims to the emergency department of DMCH. Kabir succumbed to his injuries around 9:00 AM on Friday while undergoing treatment.

DMCH Police Camp In-Charge Inspector Habibur Rahman confirmed the death, citing attending physicians. He stated that the body has been placed in the hospital morgue and the relevant police station has been informed of the matter.
