Women’s Table brings professional women together for ideas and opportunities

HerNet Foundation organised “Women’s Table - A Breakfast of Ideas, Expertise & Opportunity”, bringing together accomplished women from diverse professional, entrepreneurial, creative and social backgrounds to exchange ideas, build networks and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The gathering was held at Bagha Club, Gulshan-2, with HerNet Foundation founder Alisha Pradhan and Julian Francis, Chairman of Bagha Club, chairing the event. Paola Belfiore, Italian artist and First Lady of the Italian Embassy in Dhaka, attended as the Guest of Honour. Thanuja Maunasinghe of Bagha Club was also present. The event provided an intimate platform for women working in business, corporate leadership, law, education, fashion, art, media, nutrition, communications and other sectors to share their professional experiences, ideas and aspirations.

Addressing the gathering, Alisha Pradhan, General Secretary of HerNet Foundation, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to women’s empowerment, leadership and sustainable development. She also shared details of an upcoming initiative focusing on recycling and reducing environmental footprints, stressing the importance of sustainable practices and collective responsibility. Participants engaged in discussions on their respective areas of work while exploring opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, knowledge-sharing and networking. The informal format encouraged open conversations beyond professional titles and helped participants identify common interests and potential areas for joint initiatives.

The gathering brought together 23 women, including HR professionals, entrepreneurs, lawyers, academics, artists, designers, corporate leaders, media professionals, nutritionists and education consultants.
