One killed as bus smashes motorcycle in Gopalganj

A man was killed after a passenger bus smashed a motorcycle in Gopalganj.
The deceased was identified as Ashraf Faruqi Liton, son of Sirajul Islam Kazi of Palpara village in Muksudpur upazila.
Bhatiapara Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rokonuzzaman said, "Liton was riding his motorcycle from Kashiani to his home in Pona village when the accident occurred."
The motorcycle collided head-on with a Dhola Paribahan passenger bus travelling from Dhaka to Khulna in the Pona bus stand area.
The motorcycle was badly damaged and Liton sustained critical injuries.
Locals rescued him and took him to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he later died while undergoing treatment.
The OC said legal procedures in connection with the incident are underway.
