WhatsApp to set third-party AI agents

WhatsApp is set to introduce support for third-party AI agents, allowing users to interact with AI-powered assistants directly through the messaging platform.

The new feature will enable users to create or connect AI agents and communicate with them through dedicated chats. Users will reportedly be able to add up to five agents, with each agent designed to perform specific tasks based on the instructions provided by the user.

The feature is currently being tested and is not yet available to all WhatsApp users. The company is expected to gradually expand access as development progresses.

WhatsApp’s move comes as messaging platforms increasingly integrate AI-powered tools to offer users more automated and personalized services.
