Man posing as customer flees with gold necklaces in Pabna

A young man posing as a customer stole two gold necklaces weighing two bhori from a jewellery shop in Pabna’s Ishwardi on Wednesday night.

The incident took place at Masud Jewellers at Chand Ali Mor in Ishwardi market around Wednesday (September 23) night.

According to shop owner Mahsi Yatikur Rahman Masud, the masked man, believed to be around 25, entered the shop and asked to see gold necklaces. When two necklaces were placed before him, he suddenly grabbed both and ran away.

The two necklaces weighed one bhori each and were worth around Tk 4.5 lakh, the owner said.

As the suspect was wearing a mask, his face was not clearly visible in the CCTV footage. Police have collected the footage and are trying to identify him, said Ishwardi Police Station OC Md Ashadur Rahman.
