BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi declared on Friday (September 25) that BNP and National Olama Dal will build strong resistance against anti-democratic forces trying to turn Bangladesh into a puppet state.

He made the statement as the chief guest at a protest rally organized by the National Olama Dal at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Jummah prayers, protesting attempts to destabilize the country through planned terrorism.

During his speech, Rizvi highlighted acting chairman Tarique Rahman's address at the United Nations, noting that he presented a message of peace and called for diplomacy, education, and humanity over weapons. He emphasized that Tarique Rahman advocated for equal dignity in international relations, a sovereign Palestinian state, and the dignified repatriation of Rohingya refugees.

Rizvi further stated that global conflicts drive up fuel, gas, and food prices, leading to factory closures and unemployment. He commended Olama Dal for protesting against those attempting to destabilize the nation through arson and violence.

He affirmed that the current government under Tarique Rahman achieved power through a free and fair election, dedicated to public welfare, and warned that any anti-independence or anti-sovereign actions would face tough resistance across the country.
