Iran remains steadfast, even in ‘apocalyptic war’: Araghchi

TEHRAN, Sept 28: As we’ve been reporting, the Iranian foreign minister has told NBC News that his country is “fully prepared” to resume war with the US after Trump rejected Tehran’s peace proposal at the UN General Assembly last week.

Abbas Araghchi has now taken to X to reiterate the message.

“President Pezeshkian and I did not come to New York to sell a war. We came to forge peace,” he wrote. “Iran nonetheless remains steadfast in the face of any aggression �" even if it comes to an apocalyptic war.

“At the same time, we are ready for real diplomacy.”
