Bangladesh has reported four new dengue deaths and 1,978 hospital admissions from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease in the last 24-hour count.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the latest fatalities have taken this year’s dengue toll to 249.
The health directorate bulletin said on Thursday that 180 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation and 176 in Dhaka South during the period.
Outside the two city corporations, 328 patients were admitted in other hospitals across Dhaka Division.
In addition, Chattogram recorded 358 new admissions, while Barishal reported 260, Khulna 256, Rajshahi 209, Mymensingh 94, Rangpur 101 and Sylhet 16.�"bdnews24
