Another girl injured in the Narayanganj transformer blast has died, raising the death toll from the incident to three.

Lamia died at around 9:45 PM on Thursday while undergoing treatment at the ICU of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. She had suffered burns to 55 percent of her body.

Two other injured students are undergoing treatment at the hospital and their conditions were reported to be stable.

The incident occurred on September 26 when a transformer on a nearby electrical line exploded and fell onto the roof of Mahela Khatun Mohila Madrasa in Fatullah, leaving five students injured.
