BRAC Univ gets bomb threat

BRAC University has received an email threatening a mass bomb attack on the private university in Dhaka, prompting authorities to alert law enforcement agencies and launch an investigation.

The threat was sent at 6:44PM on Sunday (October 4) from an email account identified as “Topikel Chinese Man.”

The email claimed that multiple bombs would be detonated at the university at 11AM on Tuesday, October 6.

Addressing the BRAC University community, the sender allegedly threatened to carry out a 'mass bomb attack' and claimed that no one would be able to stop what was about to happen.

Police sources said the university authorities forwarded the email to the relevant authorities and sought cooperation after receiving the threat.

Several intelligence agencies are reportedly investigating the incident.
