Neymar sends emotional message to Messi

Brazilian superstar Neymar has sent an emotional message to Lionel Messi ahead of the Argentine legend’s final appearance for his national team.

As Messi prepares to wear the Argentina shirt for the final time against Benin, Neymar thanked his longtime friend for the memories they shared and for the impact he has had on football.

In his heartfelt message, Neymar said football fans around the world have enjoyed watching Messi throughout his career. He wished his former teammate a memorable farewell and hoped Messi would appreciate the tributes coming his way. 

Neymar also expressed gratitude for the Argentine’s contribution to football, saying Messi had made him love the game even more. He described it as an honour to have competed against Messi and an even greater privilege to have shared historic moments with him as a teammate.

Neymar and Messi played together at Barcelona before reuniting at Paris Saint-Germain. The two also faced each other several times while representing Brazil and Argentina. Their close friendship has continued despite no longer being club teammates.

Messi enters the farewell match against Benin with 207 appearances and 125 goals for Argentina. The game will mark his 208th and final appearance for the national team.
