France beat Belgium with four-goal comeback in 14 minutes
France staged a remarkable comeback against Belgium, scoring four goals in 14 minutes to secure a 4-1 victory in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night.
France trailed 1-0 until the 76th minute at home before three substitute players turned the match around. Désiré Doué levelled the score, Rayan Cherki put France ahead, and Michael Olise scored twice late on.
Belgium took the lead in the 35th minute when Dodi Lukebakio finished a powerful shot after receiving a through ball from Roméo Lavia.
France dominated possession with nearly 66 percent and registered 23 shots, eight of them on target. Belgium had five shots, with two on target.
Doué equalised in the 77th minute, five minutes after coming on as a substitute. The Paris Saint-Germain forward collected a pass from Luca da Cunha before creating space and firing a low shot from outside the box.
Cherki then put France ahead in the 81st minute, finishing from inside the box after receiving Olise's pass from the right.
Olise completed the comeback with goals in the 88th and 91st minutes. The Bayern Munich winger has now scored four goals in his last three matches for France.
The win saw France return to winning ways after a 1-1 draw with Italy in their previous match. They remain top of Group A1 with 10 points from four games.
Italy moved into second place with seven points after beating Turkey 3-1, while Belgium remain third with six points. Turkey have lost all four of their matches.
Belgium were without captain Youri Tielemans and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne due to suspension.
