Ctg Jamaat launches drive against dengue

CHATTOGRAM, OCTOBER 9: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has launched a dengue awareness and mosquito control campaign in Chattogram, with its city chief criticising what he described as poor management by public service agencies, including the city corporation.

Muhammad Nazrul Islam, a central executive council member of Jamaat and ameer of its Chattogram city unit, said administrative shortcomings had deprived residents of essential services. He also said the absence of elected ward councillors had left people without adequate representation in addressing local problems.
