Flights from Jeddah to Dhaka operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines have been disrupted due to security concerns, leaving passengers stranded at the Saudi airport, an airline official said on Sunday (October 11).
M A Sattar, Biman's sales manager at Jeddah airport, said boarding had not started as flights could not depart for security reasons.
He said flight operations remained uncertain until the airport's security situation returned to normal.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) said five flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines, Saudia and Riyadh Air were cancelled from Saturday to Sunday morning following Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia.
