Dubai has introduced its first "Work from Park" initiative aimed at providing a flexible outdoor working environment away from traditional office spaces and home settings.
The project was officially inaugurated at Al Barsha Pond Park on Monday (November 2). It was jointly developed by the Dubai Municipality in partnership with flexible workspace platform Letswork and construction firm Group Amana.
Under the initiative, residents and tourists can access designated outdoor seating areas, rooftop spaces, and park amenities free of charge, without requiring advance bookings or rental fees.
To support remote work requirements, the setup features high-speed Wi-Fi and power outlets for laptops and mobile devices.
Organisers plan to install outdoor cooling systems and weather-proof furniture to counter high temperatures, while an air-conditioned indoor hub operates daily from 8:00AM to 8:00PM for users preferring climate-controlled spaces.
Desks and work spots can be reserved through the Letswork website, mobile application, or via WhatsApp.
Project representatives noted that the initiative aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and facilitate in-person professional networking alongside integrated community sports facilities and child-friendly park amenities for working parents.
