The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has issued an urgent notice for expatriate Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia, urging them not to share photos, videos or sensitive information related to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

The embassy made the request in a post on its verified Facebook page on Monday (October 12), asking expatriates to strictly follow the instructions and respect Saudi laws.

According to the notice, capturing, storing, exchanging or publishing photos, videos and information related to the current situation on social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube and X, is punishable under Saudi law.

The embassy urged Bangladeshis to refrain from sharing or circulating such content and advised them to avoid risky and crowded places amid the regional tensions.

For assistance, expatriates can contact the embassy through the following toll-free numbers: 8001000125 for labour-related matters, 8001000126 for passport services and 8001000124 for diplomatic matters.
