Goods looted during protests over rising living costs in France last Saturday are being offered for sale online, prompting the government to step up monitoring of online marketplaces.
Small Business Minister Serge Papin said marketplace operators had pledged to help prevent the sale of stolen goods, warning that sellers would be identified and brought to justice.
Luxury retailers, including Louis Vuitton and Rolex, as well as Sephora stores, were targeted during the looting, CNN and Reuters reported.
