Iran is ready for diplomacy to resolve its dispute with the United States but fully prepared to defend itself if war resumes, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday, October 21.
In an article published in the Financial Times, Araghchi said Washington had shown little willingness to reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the United States must end its naval blockade, threats and aggression before negotiations can resume. He also accused Washington of breaking previous commitments.
The United States and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran in February. A 60-day ceasefire brokered by Pakistan later collapsed after both sides violated its terms.
