Benin's Under-18 school team delivered a crushing 27-0 defeat to India in the ongoing ISF Football World Cup in China.
Following an earlier 7-0 victory against Qatar, the African nation secured back-to-back wins to confirm their spot in the Round of 16 from the group stage. The team has scored 34 goals across two matches without conceding a single goal.
Benin started their campaign in Group B by defeating Qatar 7-0 in their opening match. In their second match, the team showcased even greater attacking dominance, putting 27 goals past India to demonstrate their offensive strength.
After two matches, Benin lead with six points, having scored 34 goals while maintaining a clean sheet. Their dominant performance guaranteed them a place in the knockout stage ahead of their final group fixture.
Following a strong start, Benin remain confident as they prepare to face hosts China in their final group match. A victory against China would allow the young "Cheetahs" to enter the next round with a 100 per cent win record in the group stage.
However, playing against the host nation on their home turf will present a challenge for Benin, requiring fresh preparation to maintain their winning streak.
