Sajek entry blocked again from today

RANGAMATI, Oct 21: After a break of six days due to Durga Puja, the Sajek Gonoodhikar Rokkha Committee and Sajek Karbari Association have announced an indefinite road blockade on the Sajek tourist route in Rangamati’s Baghaichhari upazila from Thursday morning citing the failure to implement their three-point demands.

In a joint press release issued on Wednesday, Sajek Karbari Association President Natun Joy Chakma and Sajek Gonoodhikar Rokkha Committee Convener Babudhan Chakma announced the fresh programme. 

According to the statement, the organisations first enforced an indefinite blockade from October 11 over their three-point demand. 

The blockade was temporarily suspended from October 16 to 21 due to Durga Puja.
