Former Mexican footballer Mario “El Mono” Osuna has shared a funny story about Lionel Messi's early days at Barcelona, claiming Ronaldinho once told him that teammates put a stolen motorcycle helmet on Messi during a party.
Speaking on the television programme *La Granja VIP*, Osuna said he heard the story from Ronaldinho while they were together at Mexican club Querétaro. However, he did not witness the incident himself, and the details have not been independently verified.
At the time, Messi was beginning his Barcelona career, while Ronaldinho was one of the club's biggest stars and an important figure in the young Argentine's development.
Ronaldinho also played a memorable role in Messi's career by assisting his first official Barcelona goal against Albacete in 2005.
Former Barcelona teammate Maxi López has also recalled Ronaldinho saying of Messi, “This boy is better than me,” highlighting the Brazilian's early recognition of Messi's extraordinary potential.
