London mission rejects website hack claims

The Bangladesh High Commission in London has said its official website is secure and that it has no direct control over visa-related servers managed centrally by the relevant authorities in Bangladesh.

In a press release issued on Saturday, the mission dismissed social media reports about its operations as misleading and baseless, warning that misinformation could damage its reputation and create confusion among Bangladeshis living in the United Kingdom. 

The High Commission said there was no reasonable basis for claims questioning the security or functionality of its official web portal.

It clarified that visa-related servers and associated technical systems are managed centrally by the relevant authorities in Bangladesh.
