Interested graduates must apply through the university’s official convocation website. The application process will be completed in four steps, with the first phase required to be completed by 11:59PM on November 30. The deadline for online payment is 11:59PM on December 2.

The 54th convocation is scheduled to take place at 11am on January 26, 2027, according to the university’s announcement.

The press release said President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir would preside over the ceremony, while Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has agreed to attend as the guest of honour.

Professor Atsushi Sunami, president of Japan’s Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF), will deliver the convocation address and receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.

Professor Dr Muhammad Harunur Rashid, a major donor to one of the university’s trust funds, will also receive an honorary Doctor of Science degree. The decisions were taken at a Syndicate meeting following recommendations from the university’s Academic Council.

According to the notice, graduates who earned degrees based on examination results published between November 20, 2022, and November 30, 2026, will be eligible to attend the convocation. Medal recipients from the eligible period may also participate.
