Bangladesh’s acting Foreign Minister Humayun Kabir has called for collective support from Commonwealth countries to ensure the safe, voluntary and dignified repatriation of Rohingyas to Myanmar.

He also urged member states to strengthen joint efforts to address global challenges, including peace and security, climate resilience, energy and food security.

The Foreign Ministry disclosed the information in a press release on Tuesday (November 3).

Speaking at a retreat session of the Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting (CFAMM) in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, on Monday, Kabir stressed the need for coordinated action.

He also called for effective implementation of the Loss and Damage Fund to address climate-related losses and damages, as well as a coordinated framework to boost investment among Commonwealth countries.
